I have been looking at buying a Tern Link D8 bike. I have been checking these bikes on German sites and everywhere this bikes comes with fenders and a rack while here in Slovakia the basic price of the bike is about 25 EUR higher and the bike comes with no fenders and rack which are optional for additional 30 EUR.
To me this is a non-sense hence I would like to raise a question whether fenders and rack comes with the bike as a standard equipment in other countries.

The Link D8 comes in several different options packages – there is also one that includes dynamo hub and lighting. Our distributors in each market decide what they feel is best for their market. Sometimes there are slight differences in pricing due to VAT, duty, freight costs, etc. For instance, if we land a container in Hamburg, it’s cheaper to get it to our German warehouse than the Czech warehouse. And there are larger quantities going to Germany so there are some efficiencies there for freight as well.
But I’d urge you to consider buying locally because a bike is something you’ll have for many years and you’ll want a good dealer to take care of it and keep it running well for you.
