Pack a Castro in the AirPorter

Follow these steps to fit the Castro D8, Duo and P7i into the AirPorter.

Parts Inside the AirPorter:


1. Hub axle discs
2. Front drop out holder
3. Rear drop out holder
4. Chain ring pad
5. Pedal bag
6. First pad
7. Second pad


Tools needed:


1. 5 mm crescent wrench
2. 5 mm Hex Key


Step 1: Remove both pedals and wheels using the 15 mm crescent wrench, then insert the pedals into the pedal bag. Remove the handlepost using a 5 mm hex key. Remove the seatpost using the quick releases and put aside.



Step 2: Insert the drop out holders to the front and rear dropouts.




Step 3: Place the AirPorter on the floor, open up the cover and lay the buckles on the outside, then place the rear wheel in the bottom right of the AirPorter.



Step 4: Place the first pad over the rear wheel.


Step 5: Fold the frame and place the folded frame on top of the first pad with the front frame half under the rear frame half and hinge positioned on the left, the cranks at the top and rear rack aligned with the bottom of the AirPorter.



Step 6: Wrap the excess padding from the first pad around the left chain stay and place the handlepost inside.



Step 7: Place the second pad over the frame and lay the seatpost along the top edge of the AirPorter with the saddle on the right hand side.



Step 8: Place the front wheel on top of the second pad and the fenders on the right hand side. Fold excess pad over wheel and fenders.



Step 9: Clasp the buckles shut and cinch tightly.



Step 10: Put the pedal bag into the zipper pocket on the inside of the AirPorter Cover.



Step 11: Close the AirPorter, zipper it up, set and lock the zipper lock.
