Introducing the RidePocket Front Bike Bag

Updated on

What is the RidePocket?

The RidePocket is a compact, handlepost-mounted pouch designed to keep your everyday essentials—like your wallet, phone, and keys—secure, organized, and easily accessible on your Tern bike.

How to install the RidePocket?

The RidePocket mounts securely but comes off easily, so you can bring it in with you when you lock your bike outside. To mount the RidePocket on your Tern bike, simply wrap the Strap around the Handlepost. Push down on the Strap to get it nice and tight.

The RidePocket is optimized for bikes with a Handlepost, but if you own a Tern Joe bike, it will also mount on the Handlebar Stem.

Why should I get the RidePocket?

Essentials are within quick reach

Unlike saddle bags, which store items out of reach, the RidePocket positions your belongings right in front of you, making them easier to access than if they were in your pockets. It was created for riders who want convenience and comfort without sitting on their stuff.

Charge your phone on your bike

Your smartphone might double as a powerful bike computer, but ride-tracking apps can drain its battery fast. The RidePocket is designed with space for a power bank, so you can charge your handlebar-mounted phone on the go. Simply put your cable through the built-in Cable Outlet and zip everything securely in place. It’s the easy way to keep your phone powered throughout your ride.

Keep your stuff dry on every ride

Inside every RidePocket, there’s a handy Rain Cover, which is designed to protect the bag and its contents from downpours. It packs up nice and small—bring it along for the ride, and stay prepared for any weather.

Reminder: Keep strap clear of handlepost lever

A final note: Please ensure the Strap does not get in behind the Handlepost Lever, as it can prevent your Handlepost Lever from closing properly.

The Strap should NOT sit behind the Handlepost Lever.

So, that’s the RidePocket—compact, organized, and ready for the road.

If you’re interested in a similar small bike bag, you could also consider the single-compartment RidePouch, a mini bike trunk for your chain lock, water bottle, or multiple smaller items. But if you'd like to learn more, check out our RidePocket vs. RidePouch comparison to see which one suits your rides best—or go for both and stay fully equipped!
