How to Build the Clubhouse Fort on the GSD Gen 2

What do I need to build the Clubhouse Fort?

The Clubhouse Fort weather canopy for kids comprises these Tern accessories, which are sold separately:

  • Clubhouse+ or Clubhouse Gen 3
  • Sidekick Wide Decks
  • Storm Box
  • Storm Shield or Sun Shield + Rain Shield

Step 1: Install the Sidekick Wide Decks

The Sidekick Wide Decks form the base of the Clubhouse Fort on the GSD Gen 2. They’re required to install the Storm Box.

Step 2: Install the Clubhouse Gen 3 or Clubhouse+

The Clubhouse is the basis of the Clubhouse Fort. You will need either the Clubhouse Gen 3 or Clubhouse+ to install the Storm Box and Storm Shield or Sun/Rain Shield.

  • You can install the Clubhouse Fort when the included Flat Bar or Child Seat Expansion Bar is in use. If you have younger children, you’ll need to add one or two child seats. Check out this article for more information about compatible child seats on the GSD Gen 2.
  • If you have older or bigger kids, we recommend adding the Clubhouse Seat Pad and Clubhouse Backrest.

Step 3: Install the Storm Box

The Storm Box is a durable yet flexible container for carrying kids and cargo. When you're not transporting your kids, you can load it up with a whopping 160 L of stuff.

Step 4: Install the Storm Shield or Sun Shield + Rain Shield

The Storm Shield creates a weatherproof bubble that protects kids from harsh weather conditions. To ensure a safe ride with the Storm Shield, we recommend a maximum height of 140 cm (4’7”) for children, plus a helmet.

The Sun Shield offers UPF50 sun protection, and the Rain Shield easily snaps on when the weather turns—then folds down small when skies clear. All options require the Clubhouse and are built for all-weather comfort.
