New Products from Tern for 2017

The Vektron

The Accelerator

The Tern Vektron is the world‘s premiere folding e-bike. With patented Tern folding technology, a Bosch Active pedelec drivetrain, integrated Valo 2 light with 150 lumens of power, and Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather control, the Vektron is compact yet powerful—the best tool for getting around cities. Unlike conventional e-bikes, the Vektron is designed to integrate with subways, buses, and other transport networks. For theft prevention, the Vektron stores easily under a desk at work. By combining electric and folding, the Vektron takes everything great about folding bikes—multi-modal commuting, portability for travel and storage—and accelerates it. Stop by the Tern booth at Eurobike (B4-406) and test ride the Vektron for your chance to win one.

The Verge X11

Light Speed

The Tern Verge X11 inaugurates a new wheel size for Tern bikes—451 mm—and does so with more flash and speed than any model that's come before. 2017 is an exciting year across the industry. SRAM's revolutionary 1x™ drivetrain allows rear cassettes ranging from 10 teeth to 42 teeth. On the X11, that range delivers an eminently compact and durable bike, ready to climb any grade and power down any descent. The X11's Kinetix Pro X 451 wheels are light, yet amazingly strong, and with hydraulic disc brakes, the bike has all-season stopping power. Technology normally develops gradually. This year, it makes a quantum leap.

Tern Roji Bikes

Roji bikes (“alley” bikes in Japanese) sport traditional diamond-frame designs with a city-optimized twist. Developed in collaboration with Kitt Design from Japan, Roji bikes feature 451, 650c, and 700c wheels—and range in size from 42 cm to 58 cm. Thanks to smaller wheels, they're a great fit for tight spaces, and with simple gearing and a host of cargo carrying accessories, they're versatile yet low maintenance. After a successful 2016 debut in Japan, Tern is bringing Roji bikes to select global markets in Europe and North America for 2017.

The Vizy™ Light

Safety—Radi(c)ally Reinvented

The Tern Vizy Light projects 360° of radial 60-lumen light on the ground around a bike, creating a bright circle of protection to protect riders in low visibility situations. The Vizy Light's halo provides a clear signal for cars to pass at a safe distance, and illuminates riders' bodies, so drivers can react accordingly. The Vizy Light is durable, weatherproof, USB rechargeable, and beautifully encased. It even features a rear-facing LED light for long range visibility. It's safety—radically reinvented.
