What we're looking for
We are seeking a highly organized, solutions-oriented Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee complex product development lifecycles and cross-functional engineering initiatives. Operating under the direction of the Product Development Director, this role requires absolute end-to-end ownership of platform projects from early-stage development through to mass production ramp-up.

Responsibilities
- Lifecycle Management: Lead and manage multi-phase product development cycles for specific platform projects, ensuring all milestones are met under the guidance of engineering leadership.
- Project Tracking: Utilize internal project management systems (e.g., Basecamp) to maintain accurate, transparent, and timely updates on all active project tracks.
- Operational Facilitation: Oversee pilot and early mass production phases on behalf of the product development department; provide on-site technical guidance, documentation, and communication to manufacturing facilities to ensure a seamless transition to mass production; sign-off on greenlighting production.
- Documentation Sign-Off: Review, validate, and sign off on core technical production drawings for internally developed structural components and compliance documentations necessary for greenlighting mass production of bikes.
- Data Integrity: Maintain and organize a centralized, easily searchable archive database of all approved production drawings, technical specifications, and compliance documents.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and manage the day-to-day operations of the project team members.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in product strategy meetings, providing critical technical feedback regarding engineering design viability and manufacturing feasibility (DFM).
- Participate in product launch events and trade shows and provide technical assistance as representative of product development team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in technical project management, production engineering, or product development lifecycles within a hardware or manufacturing environment. Relevant experience in the bicycle industry are considered highly valuable and are given priority in consideration.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing engineering or technical team members and driving accountability across complex project timelines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly between Design, Bill of Materials (BOM), Project Management, Product Management, Supply Chain, and executive teams.
Required Skills
- Project Management Methodologies: Proficient in using digital collaboration and project tracking tools (such as Basecamp, GANTTPRO, or Solidworks PDM) to manage workflows and documentation.
- Technical Literacy: Strong ability to read, interpret, and evaluate technical blueprint drawings and engineering schematics for structural components.
- Manufacturing Feasibility: Deep understanding of pilot production processes, manufacturing ramp-up constraints, and standard document control protocols.
- Cultural Alignment: Strong commitment to collaborative teamwork and a professional ethos centered around respect, innovation, determination, and excellence (R.I.D.E. principles).
- Bicycle Knowledge Proficiency: Staying on top of the latest industry trends from a product and manufacturing point of view. Connections within the industry to seek answers and solve problems that arise from work tasks.
