
How to Build the Clubhouse Fort on the Quick Haul Long
This article covers the Tern Quick Haul Long electric cargo bike. To build the Clubhouse Fort on the GSD Gen 2, click here.
The Clubhouse Fort bike weather canopy for kids on the Quick Haul Long comprises these four Tern accessories, which are sold separately:
- Stow Decks
- Clubhouse Gen 3
- Storm Box
- Storm Shield or Sun Shield + Rain Shield

Note that you can swap the Storm Shield with the Sun Shield + Rain Shield combo
Step 1: Install the Stow Decks
The Stow Decks form the base of the Clubhouse Fort on the Quick Haul Long. They’re required to install the Storm Box.

Step 2: Install the Clubhouse Gen 3
The Clubhouse frame is the basis of the Clubhouse Fort. You will need the Clubhouse Gen 3 to install the Storm Box and the Storm Shield. You can install the Clubhouse Fort when the included Flat Bar or Child Seat Expansion Bar is in use.

Step 3: Install the Storm Box
The Storm Box is a durable yet flexible container for carrying kids and cargo. When you're not transporting your kids, you can load it up with a whopping 160 L of stuff.

Step 4: Install the Storm Shield or Sun Shield + Rain Shield
i. Storm Shield

The Storm Shield is an all-weather bike canopy that keeps kids comfortable in any weather. It shields them from rain and provides UV protection on sunny days, making it great for families in areas with harsh or unpredictable weather who prefer full-time weather coverage on their bikes.

ii. Sun Shield + Rain Shield

The Sun Shield is a lightweight, packable bicycle canopy with UPF 50-rated protection to safeguard your kids from harmful UV rays. Designed for maximum airflow, it helps your little passengers stay cool on hot days. The Rain Shield, a waterproof add-on that transports easily in a pannier, quickly snaps onto the Sun Shield to transform it into an all-weather canopy that keeps kids dry in sudden downpours.

To install Sun Shield on a bike equipped with Storm Box
Follow the Sun Shield manual to install the front self-fastening straps and each of the 4 elastic cords directly onto the Clubhouse:

Then, attach the Sun Shield's rear straps to the outer loops of the Storm Box:
