Pack a Joe in the AirPorter

Follow these steps to fit the Joe C21, D24, P24 and P27 into the AirPorter.  Please note that the tire pressure should be released for Joe P27 wheels to fit inside the AirPorter.

Parts Inside the AirPorter:  


1. Hub axle discs

2. Front drop out holder

3. Rear drop out holder

4. Chain ring pad

5. Pedal bag

6. First pad

7. Second pad


Tools needed:

15 mm crescent wrench

5 mm Hex Key


Step 1: Attach the chain ring pad to the chain ring.  Remove the stem using a 5 mm hex key and both wheels and the seatpost using the quick releases. Put all these parts to one side.


Step 2: Insert the drop out holders to the front and rear dropouts.



Step 3: Apply the hub axle discs to the right side of the hub axle of the rear wheel and the left side of the hub axle of the front wheel.


Step 4: Remove both pedals using the 15 mm crescent wrench, then insert into the pedal bag.


Step 5: Place the AirPorter on the floor, open up the cover and lay the buckles on the outside, then place the rear wheel in the bottom left of the AirPorter.


Step 6: Place the first pad over the rear wheel.


Step 7: Fold the frame and place the folded frame on top of the first pad with front fork rotated to face upward and located along the bottom edge, the rear frame half on the top with the rear derailleur at the bottom left corner of the AirPorter, cranks at the top right and hinge at the top of the AirPorter.


Step 8: Wrap the excess padding from the first pad around the cranks and place the seatpost on top with the saddle on the right hand side.


Step 9: Place the second pad over the frame and seatpost.


Step 10: Place the front wheel on top, then clasp the buckles shut and cinch tightly.


Step 11: Put the pedal bag into the zipper pocket on the inside of the AirPorter Cover.


Step 12: Close the AirPorter, zipper it up, set and lock the zipper lock.
