Our cargo bikes are designed to be useful, and to carry way more stuff than your regular city bike—so it's important to learn more about how much you can carry, and how to do it safely.

How to Carry Cargo on a Tern Cargo Bike

Always follow these two principles when carrying cargo:

  1. Stay within the weight limits—your rear and front rack limits, and your bike's max gross vehicle weight.
  2. Select the best cargo-carrying accessories for your purpose.
