Foot Placement on Pedals
The following tip should improve the comfort, safety, and lifespan of using your pedals.
The rider’s foot should rest as close to the crank as possible without causing interference with pedaling to ensure weight is evenly distributed for a longer pedal life. Placing the foot on the outermost edge reduces surface contact area so increases the likelihood of the foot slipping off the pedal and also increases the forces through the pedal so may increase undue wear.
