How will you use the bike most of the time?
We have e-bikes for all kinds of purposes, but in the end, it really depends on how you are going to use your Tern electric bike 90% of the time. Shuttle your kids to school? Hauling your craft beer across town? Or commuting to work, where there’s no dedicated bike parking space?
For serious grocery or passenger hauling, our cargo eBikes, such as the GSD, HSD, Quick Haul, and Quick Haul Long, are up to the task. However, if you're looking for something more compact without heavy-duty carrying capacity, consider the NBD or Vektron electric bikes. These options offer a balance of convenience and functionality for everyday riding.
How much are you willing to invest in a bike?

GSD: Our best cargo bike for families
The GSD is not just an enormously useful, compact family cargo e-bike with best-in-class carrying capacity. It's a real car replacement that fits the needs of families, whether that’s hauling 2 kids or an adult passenger, work equipment, weekly groceries, or camping gear.
Now in its third generation, the GSD continues to be the best family cargo bike in our lineup. A re-engineered frame capable of handling up to 210 kg (463 lb), a cockpit that adjusts quickly to comfortably fit both petite and extra-large riders, optimized geometry for enhanced handling under load, and an extra-wide kickstand with remote unlocking—just for starters.
Meanwhile, it’s available with either the Bosch Smart System for a connected riding experience packed with smart features like ABS and advanced theft protection, or the Bosch eBike System 2 to cater to those who like to keep things simple and straightforward. Quick Haul Long: Our practical 2-passenger cargo bike
The Quick Haul Long is our most affordable cargo e-bike, built for carrying two kids, an adult passenger, or plenty of cargo with a load capacity of 190 kg (419 lb).
It features a reliable, easy-to-use eBike system, a rock-solid double kickstand for wobble-free loading and unloading, and a height-adjustable cockpit that makes sharing between parents simple. It offers the same wide range of accessories as the GSD, making it easy to customize for school runs, errands, and everyday adventures.
With the Quick Haul Long, you’ll get an e-bike that’s not only practical for carrying kids and cargo, but also has good value and proven safety. It may not have all the extras of the GSD, but it has everything you need for your family to kick-start a car-free journey.

HSD: Our best 1-passenger cargo bike
The HSD is a compact cargo e-bike that’s easy to handle, comfortable to ride, and built to haul like a much larger bike.
It has a maximum load capacity of 180 kg (397 lb), with an 80 kg (176 lb) rear rack limit—great for carrying everything from groceries to a passenger, whether it’s a young kid in a child seat or an adult. Designed for sharing among loved ones, its adjustable cockpit resizes in seconds so every rider can find their ideal fit.

The Quick Haul is our most affordable cargo e-bike. A multitool of e-bikes, it’s small and unassuming enough to be the daily go-to for riders, yet capable of handling big jobs with finesse. With a maximum load capacity of 150 kg (331 lb) and a 50 kg (110 lb) rear rack limit, it can carry several days’ worth of groceries or 1 small passenger.
The Quick Haul suits a wide range of folks. Not only does the bike feature a height-adjustable cockpit to fit different riders, it’s also modular, thanks to an extensive accessories ecosystem.
